How To Win All 3rd Inning Rewards In MLB The Show 25! – New Boss & Cornerstone Evolution Packs
The recently launched 3rd Inning Program brings 3 new bosses, but for some players, they are so familiar, they are Bernie Williams, Trevor Story, and Eric Gagne. In addition, a new star player has also joined this XP Path, that is Matt Cain!
It is worth mentioning that all bosses are 92 overall, so compared to last month, their overall level will undoubtedly be higher. And if your team has these legends, it will be unstoppable!
Next, let EZG introduce these bosses in 3rd Inning Program and this month’s new Cornerstone Evolution card. Without further ado, let’s get started!

Postseason Matt Cain
Our first free reward is Matt Cain. Now this card doesn’t necessarily have the best Pitch Velocity on it, but it’s a really solid card and he’ll be able to handle a lot of his pitches well, especially with his excellent H/9 and STA Stats. So overall, it’s a good card. And for a lot of us, he doesn’t have to invest in any MLB The Show 25 Stubs to get it, so that’s pretty good too!
3 New Bosses
Then, I know you’ll want to see how the 3 boss cards for 3rd Inning Program perform, so here they are!
Bernie Williams
Bernie Williams is our first one, and he’s a hitter who can hit both sides. He’s a bit worse against righties, though.
We’re looking at the same situation here, Williams only has 90 contact and 65 power against righties, but can burst out to 125 contact and 115 power against lefties. On top of that, his 82 Vision is pretty good, and his 111 Clutch makes up for his shortcomings against righties.
It’s a little disappointing that he doesn’t have a secondary position, which is a little disappointing. I think there are totally better outfielders out there right now, so I strongly recommend selling this card to recycle some MLB The Show 25 Stubs. But overall, a solid two-way player is always the best choice when building your team.
Eric Gagne
The next boss is 92 Overall Eric Gagne. Overall, this is a very good card, and we all know that he is very good at control and breakthrough, with 99 Vulcan Change, 99 VEL, 99 BRK, 105 H/9, and 107 K/9.
And then for his Quirks, he has Outlier I Quirk, so he is automatically the best Relief Pitcher in MLB 25. Honestly, this card is a really good choice for a lot of people, just depending on the price point when you get him and whether you want to keep him. I think he is a very good card and may replace Bernie as a starter.
Trevor Story
Finally, we have Trevor Story. This card is really good, not only does it have 103 Contact vs Left and 100 Power vs Left, 82 Contact vs Right and 75 Power vs Right, but his Vision, Clutch, and Speed stats are all very good. There is a lack of good shortstops in the game right now, so there is no doubt that Trevor Story will be a good shortstop in the future.
Cornerstone Evolution Choice Packs
Next, let’s take a look at Cornerstone Evolution packs you can get this month.
Jim Palmer
Jim Palmer is our first card, but he has been a bit of a nerd because his Sinker, Slider, and Changeup are all good, but his control is not outstanding and his high-end pitch velocity is lacking. However, if you play well with him, his 110 STA Stat will definitely make you shine!
Palmer has a 90 Vulcan Change, which is a wonderful change of velocity between fastballs and all speedballs, and his 99 break is also quite good. He has a lot of solid control on his pitches, so I think he’ll definitely be in some people’s lineups!
Justin Turner
Next up is Justin Turner, another lefty killer! His stats against lefties are excellent, 125 contact and 100 power. Honestly, he breaks better than Bernie Williams, except for Clutch! This card is only good for Third Basemen, though, because his defense and speed are weak. But obviously there are a lot of good Third Basemen in the game right now, so he’s not the best choice, especially if you have a lot of MLB 25 stubs.
If you want to keep him, I suggest you prioritize his viability in Secondary position. But if you need a Third Baseman, Turner is an excellent budget choice overall.
Ralph Kiner
The last card of Cornerstone pack is Ralph Kiner, another all-around hitter! His strength is around 100 for both right-handed and left-handed players, which is very balanced, and his 80 Contact, 80 Vision and 85 Clutch make him always strong in defense. So there is no doubt that Kiner is a card you will mix in the outfield! However, his biggest problem is that he is slow, which makes him only play left field.
For his Bad Ball Hitter and Rally Monkey Quirks, he is not only good at hitting balls outside the strike zone, but also gets attribute bonuses when the team is behind. Therefore, he will undoubtedly become one of the best hitters in headwind innings. So I think many people can use this card as a designated hitter in their lineup.
In general, the above are all the rewards in 3rd Inning Program. Not only are there new bosses and Cornerstone packs, you also have the opportunity to win 2nd Inning XP Path Boss cards, which is a great opportunity for some players who missed the previous program to overtake! Hurry up and get involved!
